On August 4, Axie Infinity launched the Summer Lovin Artisan Contest. This contest comes after the release of the Origin SO Update, during which the development team rolled out specific balancing changes to the ecosystem. At the end of this process, on August 21 at 9:00 a.m. PT, Axie Infinity will announce the winners.
This is an initiative to promote Axies and reward creators within the ecosystem. Participants had to create fan art on Twitter and submit their work. It can be drawings, paintings, music, sculptures, 3D prints or animations. Then, specific people will judge their works.
While declaring the best submissions, the team thanks the judges for their contribution to the prize pool. The initial reward was $1700AXS and an opportunity to be featured in Axiecon. In addition to chairing the judging process, these individuals offered additional compensation and increased the size of the ranking. These individuals are listed below:

As a reminder, here are the perks that the top participants will receive:
- 1st Position: 500 AXS + 1 Mystique + 3 Origin axies + an illustration at AxieCon + an additional surprise.
- 2nd position: 250 AXS + 2 Origin axies + Artistic presentation at Axiecon + additional surprise
- 3rd position: 200 AXS + 1 Axie of Origin + report at Axiecon + additional surprise
- 4th position: 150 AXS + reportage at Axiecon + additional surprise
- 5th position: 100 AXS + reportage at Axiecon + additional surprise
- 6-10th: 40 AXS each + reportage at Axiecon

The award will be distributed directly from the Ronin portfolios submitted at registration. As noted in the breakdown, there will be surprise rewards for the winners of the Summer Lovin Craft Contest. This hidden benefit will be revealed after the recipients receive their winnings.

Throughout the submission period, Axie Infinity received over 1,000 entries for this contest. From this large volume, only the top 100 were selected. As such, the team assures each entrant of a fair judicial process. In addition, all creators who participated in this event agree to have their work used for the promotion and sale of digital and physical products. As such, Axie will not require any further permission from them to use these submissions now or in the future.
