Axie Infinity has rolled out the Origin SO update. This is a balancing patch for its newly launched ecosystem. These changes follow the announcement that participants could upgrade their Mystic tickets.
Details of the Axie Infinity original SO update
Balancing changes are the main takeaways from the Axie Infinity SO update. Original SO Update. Changes are going to be made to the energy of players based on their card draw turn. There are so many reasons behind these changes. For some of these power-ups, the win rate was low. Others did not provide any real value to their holders/owners. While for some, they didn’t really serve their original purpose.
Speaking of cards, they will now have the following effects:
- Tri Feather – Attack all enemies and apply Doubt in 4 turns.
- Scarab Target Any Enemy – Target any enemy and apply Healing Block for 2 turns.
- Indian Star: 65 Shield. Target any ally. Next turn, for each hit this ally takes, reflect 40% of the lost shield. Limit: 1.
- Spoon of Scales: 65 Shield. Target any ally. Next turn, for each hit this ally receives, reflect 40% of the Shield lost. Limit: 1.
- Grass Snake: 65 DMG
- Cloud 35 DMG 60 DMG. If Initial, apply Silence for 2 turns.
- Curly: inflicts pure DMG.
- Claw: Deal Pure DMG.
- Cucumber Slice: heal your team and apply 2 healing boosts. Banish.
- Pure Water: Conserve. Target any ally. Banish. Limit: 3.
- Wooden Shield: Conserve. Target any ally. Banish. Limit: 3.
- Bubble: Single and AoE attacks inflict a bonus GSD equal to 1.4% of the target’s current HP per stack. Turns into a Bubble Bomb when you reach 4 stacks.
The following runes have also been changed:
- Heart of the Ocean: Solo. When your turn begins, this Axis gains 1 Bubble. Bubble Bombs triggered by this Axis inflict x1.5 DMG.
- Shady Exchange: “Solo Energy +1 in even numbered turns. Add 2 stuns and 1 void to your deck.”
- Emergency Shield: Solo. Increases the effect of the Shield card by 15%. This Axie Shield is not removed at the end of your enemy’s turn.
- Rise and Ruin: Solo. Shield cards of this Axis also restore HP equal to 100% of the Shield gained, but grant 35% less Shield.
Other Improvements
In addition to the gameplay changes, Axie Infinity will also fix various bugs through the Origin SO update. These include the following:
- When Silent Whisper does not neutralize poison damage.
- When the status effect icon disappears, even though it takes effect.
- Players keeping the pure water and timber shield.
- The automatic end of turn function does not work during turns 3 and 5.
- Multiple stacks split into two instead of accumulating into one.
