Hash Rush is stepping up its game and releasing the second version of its September beta. The new version is open to everyone, with no NFT requirements. The Hash Rush team is rushing through updates like no other game in the blockchain space right now.
After the latest Dev Update, the game got a complete facelift and new units, a new game mode called “Dungeon”, and many new buildings and units… including an awesome dragon to capture your enemy’s base faster!
How do I join the Hash Rush Open Beta?
In the past, joining the Closed Beta required owning a “Vorto” NFT, which currently sells for between $5 and $10 on the in-game item market.
However, Hash Rush is now trying to appeal to a wider audience and has completely removed the entry requirement. Anyone interested in RTS games and blockchain-powered titles can now download it.
The game is currently available for Windows only. If you don’t have a Windows machine, you may want to consider using a free virtualization machine (such as… UTM or Virtual Box) or Shadow’s running the game in the cloud.

It is important to note that you will not need a web3 wallet such as MetaMask to play. After the full transition to the Vorto network, a first layer blockchain developed by the team, a wallet is automatically generated for you after registration.
In addition, all your goods and resources obtained and grown during the game will be automatically stored in this wallet. You will not lose any progress, and you can sell your NFT items on the internal market.
Re-imagined Free to Play
The new “Dungeon” mode adds several recipes that players can collect as they fight their way through hordes of enemies and planet-themed bosses. These recipes can be used to craft higher quality items.
By gathering resources in the new mode and in the standard “RTS” mode, players can acquire materials and exchange them for tokens in the game. These tokens can then be used to purchase NFTs that they may need in-game.
This new feature allows everyone, including free-to-play players, to own NFTs in the game. This is especially useful since “Dungeon Mode” requires you to have a team of heroes based on a predefined distribution.
