Illuvium has created a very long Twitter feed outlining its twenty-year plan. According to Kieran.eth, Illuvium’s founders are taking the long view and building the next frontier of gaming. They are generating mainstream adoption of crypto-currency, which they are passionate about.

Illuvium is an open world fantasy fighting game and NFT creature collector with an auto-battle game built on the Ethereum Blockchain. Play to win in a graphically rich sci-fi adventure and set out to conquer the wilderness to help your crash-landed crew thrive.
A spin on the classic tale of a sailor lost at sea, the player finds himself stranded on a strange and forgotten planet. In a bleak landscape littered with the remains of a lost civilization, the “Illuvials” are tiny creatures or animals that survive on the surface. Surprisingly, they are powerful beings with almost divine attributes.
Twenty years in the future
Kieran.eth wants the world to know: Illuvium is not just a game. It’s a collection of coherent games that form one cohesive universe with something for every player.
The plan is to make Illuvium the first AAA IBG (Interoperable Blockchain Game), making greater use of decentralized governance and verifiable ownership to empower players.

Illuvium: Zero
Zero will continue to grow, becoming more than a mindless clicker. The land will become a vital finite resource relevant to gameplay and story, while acting as the financial center of all the games.
Illuvium: Overworld
In this game, players explore the seven regions of Illuvium in search of Illuvium’s resources. Depending on the regions they visit, they will determine the type of Illuvial they are most likely to find.
For example, if they are in the snow and ice region of the boreal taiga, they will be more likely to find illuvium of frost/water affinity, but very unlikely to find a wildfire/fire illuvium.
The important thing to remember here is that players will always be able to find any Illuvial in any region. However, the natural habitat of the area and the Illuvial’s affinity will determine the encounter rate. Therefore, players will need to plan their trip wisely if they are looking for a specific Illuvial.

Illuvium: Arena
In this game mode, players can use the 3D Illuviums they have captured to fight and battle in competitive and non-competitive play and win matches. Once collected and a team of Illuvials is formed, players go into the Arena and test their luck.
In Ascending Arena, there will be three types of Arenas, all using the Illuvium’s auto-fight/auto-fail:
- Ranked Arena – (ranked competitive ladder)
- Leviathan Arena (betting matches)
- Survival Arena (casual PvE to test your skills against the computer).
- There is also a Survival PVP option to see who can go the furthest against the computer.
In the future, this will be the first of many genre-defining titles. Each title builds on the history of the existing universe, offering players exciting new experiences in a familiar setting.
Out Of The Metaverse
Non-game projects, such as movies, TV shows and merchandise, will help make the Illuivium IP a “behemoth” that will reach all types of consumers.
Key founders will focus on critical parameters because “we believe in this project and want to show that commitment.” An IPG is a combination of genres to create one cohesive universe. Racing, FPS, MMO, MOBA, RTS, maybe even a dating simulation. All use core assets that are compatible everywhere.
Branded partnerships with some of the world’s largest and best known companies. Think Illuvitar collections, merchandise, events and in-game cosmetics. An economy where every dollar from in-game revenues, events, merchandise, sponsorships, esports tournaments, movies, TV, etc. goes back to the ILV owners.
More games
Additional games are in various stages of development, which is necessary to seamlessly integrate them with existing titles. ILV Festivals host multiple tournaments featuring the world’s most prominent artists. With the largest prize pools and most distinguished minds in DeFi and GameFi, it will become a destination for pros and fans alike.
Kieran says Illuvium will make a mega increase when the market turns around, and even “one of the biggest in history.” They will also expand their team, creating a solid foundation for their 20-year plan.
