We recently took a look at Edenbrawl, a new blockchain-based MOBA game in development. The producing studio, Sparkadia, is looking to build a game ecosystem, all in a connected universe. As part of this, they are launching their Origin Collection – a set of eight legendary heroes. Players who collect a full set receive special, permanent perks in the Sparkadia metaverse!
Sparkadia is a game ecosystem in partnership with Immutable X and Rarible. They are currently holding a sale of their Origin Collection character NFTs. Only 8000 NFTs are available in total, 1000 for each hero.
The heroes cost $20 each. Currently available on the IMX system.
You need all eight heroes to complete the Origin Collection. Sparkadia Collections are selections of specific NFTs. Players install them in their homes, where they provide ticket modification bonuses for that player. Incomplete collections can still be installed, but they will provide a much smaller bonus.
Origin Collection Bonuses
An Origin Collection consists of one copy of each NFT character. These NFTs are Legendary Heroes and playable characters in the upcoming MOBA, Edenbrawl. But they also have other uses.
For starters, Sparkadia wants its NFT characters and skins to be usable throughout its game ecosystem. So, if they stay true to that ideal, these characters will work in all future Sparkadia games.
But for more immediate uses, owning an Origin collection gives early access to pre-sales and discounted items. Planned sales include a passport sale for early access, and a Dwellings (land) sale.
Origin collectors also receive a special exhibit trophy and VIP designation. In Sparkadia, VIPs have access to exclusive reward pools. These pools contain special items and increased rewards!
Rewards in Sparkadia will work through pools, with players earning tickets as they play. Players use their tickets to enter reward pools and receive prizes at the end of the month. This includes tokens and NFTs. The original collection will provide a great bonus modifier for your tickets.
What is the Edenbrawl?
Edenbrawl is the first game in the Sparkadia ecosystem. It is a MOBA style game with a fast-paced, action-packed play style. With a third-person view and a WASD control system, reflexes play a crucial role in Edenbrawl.
And while the game features many typical MOBA mechanics such as abilities, spells, and items, there are no minions and no lane pushing. Instead, Edenbrawl features objective-based game modes such as Edenball, a game similar to rugby, but with swords!
All items in Edenbrawl are cosmetic only. None of them provide any advantage in the game. And that’s a good thing, because Edenbrawl wants to make a place for itself in the e-sports arena. So expect to see leaderboards, ranked modes, tournaments and all the other things that come with competitive games.
Edenbrawl started as a company project, but has grown into a full-fledged game and received a $3 million funding round last November from a number of investors, including Animoca Brands!
The closed beta is scheduled for later this year.
