Scheduled to begin the week of October 10, Season 0 of Voxie Tactics promises rich rewards for players who manage to climb the leaderboard. And even for those who don’t do so well, there will still be participation prizes.
Season 0 is the first official ranked season of Voxie Tactics. The 10-week competition uses an ELO ranking system and features two modes, Draft Arena and Extreme Arena. The top 26% of players receive rewards in the leaderboard, while everyone who plays receives at least something for their participation.
We don’t have an exact date for the start of Season 0 yet, but the roadmap puts it in the week of October 10, or even this Friday (the 14th).
Draft Arena and Extreme Passes
The Draft Arena mode is open to everyone. But to participate in the Extreme Arena, you must first purchase a pass from the Voxies Marketplace. Passes come in two forms, Gold and Diamond. Each Pass includes a special, cosmetic goat pet and a number of consumable potions. The Gold Pass costs 100 VOXEL tokens, and the Diamond Pass costs 1,000 tokens. They are not transferable.
The Extreme Arena holds the bulk of the prize pool, with 1.5 million VOXEL tokens.
The Extreme Arena is the main game. Here players can use Voxies and free items, while playing with the NFT Voxies they own. The Draft Arena limits players to selecting and equipping their team from a random selection of characters and items. Then they use that team in matches, to see how many games they can win before being defeated. Each player has three lives in Draft mode. Once all your lives are used up, you must start over with a new team.
For both modes, the Champion level is reserved for the top 100 players. To reach the Bronze level, all you need to do is win five times during the season and play enough to receive an ELO rating. The top 10% of players are considered Silver, the top 5% are Gold and the top 2.5% are Diamond. At the end of the season, players receive the rewards for their current rank, plus the item rewards of all the lower levels! Pretty cool!
Season 0 Rewards
What are the rewards? These are VOXEL tokens and special items from the game. The Extreme Arena holds the bulk of the leaderboard prize pool, with 1.5 million VOXEL tokens, while the Draft Arena only rewards 500,000 tokens in total. But both modes offer a selection of item prizes.
For the Extreme Arena, the item rewards are as follows. For first place, a unique divine shield called Cogs of War, for champions, a legendary battle bag that provides a random legendary item. Diamond level players receive an epic battle bag, while Gold level players receive a set of five crystals to use in the forge. Silver and Bronze level players receive potion sets.
Item rewards for the draft arena follow the same pattern. For this battle mode, the player who comes out on top wins a unique divine helmet called the Lunatic Veil.
And all of this is in addition to the normal rewards that players receive for playing the game. These come from winning matches and include VOXEL tokens and sometimes NFT items.
What is Voxie Tactics?
Voxie Tactics is a turn-based strategic fantasy battle game where two players form teams of three characters. They move, fight and cast spells on a battlefield in an attempt to destroy the opposing team. The game features 10 different character races and 20 unique classes, each with its own powers and abilities.
Voxie Tactics is a free-to-play game, with earning potential from your first PvP match! Not only do you earn VOXELS tokens by winning matches, but you can also find NFTs. And if that NFT doesn’t fit your characters or play style, you can sell it on the market!
The game has an MMR rating scale, so more experienced players should be matched up with each other, allowing new players to learn the game a bit before getting crushed! Players who don’t own an NFT Voxie can choose from a list of free characters to form their team. Voxies can be equipped with a variety of items to give them stat boosts and additional abilities.
During battle, Voxies have MPs, or movement points, used for all actions in the game. Characters take turns performing their actions. Each character also has a turn timer, so decisions must be made quickly. The player with the last character or characters still standing wins the match.
Voxie Tactics recently unveiled their Forge, which allows players to upgrade their equipment by burning various items in the game. In addition, they will soon allow for NFT rentals.
